To get accepted into college/university and qualify for your playing license with the NCAA/NAIA, certain academic requirements need to be in place.
While the NCAA/NAIA have their own set of rules and standards, requirements for certain colleges/universities can differ from school to school. Academically competitive institutions obviously require better school grades/test results.
The type of tests you need to take along with the quality of your results depends on the specific college/university and league/division you’re applying to.
Basic academic requirements:
- Successfully completed high school diploma (but you need to apply for a scholarship 1-3 years in advance)
- GPA (Grade Point Average) of 3.0 or better
- TOEFL/IELTS test (if necessary)
- SAT/ACT test (if necessary)
